TEACHER PROFILE – Martha Molina
We met up with one of our devoted staff members, Young Two’s caretaker Martha Molina, and asked her a few questions to get to know her better!
Q: First things first, what is your name, the age group you teach, and duration at Claire’s Day School?
A: My name is Martha, I am a caregiver in the “young twos” class, and I have been working with Ms. Claire for 32 years! I started at Northway with Ms. Claire in 1988. I had Mrs. Gill in my class when she was 2yrs old, and she now teaches our 4yr old class!
Q: Describe what your class is learning about this school year.
A: Introduction to colors (teaching the colors of the flowers), shapes, animals sounds, introduction to alphabet and numbers.
Q: What is your favorite thing about working with children?
A: To enjoy them and their uniqueness – all children are different. I love dancing and playing, and teaching them good manners.
Q: What is your favorite animal?
A: Giraffe
Q: What project or class subject has been a highlight so far this school year?
A: I love seeing that the kids have so much space to play in our classroom and on the playground.
Q: What do you like to do outside of Claire’s Day School? Any hobbies you enjoy?
A: Shopping, traveling, church
Q: Sometimes children can teach us things we don’t realize or know. Have you learned anything from your classes in your experience as a teacher?
A: How much they understand even at this young age – they tell me everything that happens at home!
Q: What are your favorite stores / gift cards?
A: VISA (for traveling)
Q: Where is your ideal vacation?
A: To enjoy my grandson in Florida
