Halloween And Fall Crafts For Your Toddler
WE ARE COMING INTO THE FALL SEASON AND HALLOWEEN IS AROUND THE CORNER! HERE ARE SOME RAINY DAY FALL CRAFTS TO KEEP YOUR KIDS ENTERTAINED WHILE INSIDE ON RAINY WEEKENDS.
Fall is upon us, along with the rainy, cold weather that keeps you trapped indoors with energy-filled children. We’ve put together a list of fall crafts that will keep your kids entertained inside!
Spider Crafts:
This blog post from The Best Ideas for Kids has a bunch of fun spider web crafts that will get your children in the Halloween spirit. Our favorite is the paper spider web! Take a piece of construction paper and make it a square. Fold the square into a triangle and continue to fold smaller triangles four times until it is a small triangle.
The next step is to cut the bottom corner of the triangle concave so the paper unfolds into a circular shape. Then begin cutting slits on the folded part of the triangle – the thinner the better! When you unfold the paper, you will have a fun, webby spider web.
Halloween Crafts:
For more Halloween themed crafts, check out DIYnCrafts blog post! Our favorite is the Halloween countdown because it doubles as a craft and learning experience!
Have your kids make rings with the number of days counting down until Halloween and tape them together. Then every day they can tear one ring off to show that Halloween is one day closer.
Fall Crafts:
The autumn colors are a perfect model for any artwork canvas! The blog Happiness is Homemade has compiled an awesome list of fun, fall inspired crafts for the whole family. Our favorite is the tissue paper fall tree.
Another great idea for a fall craft is beaded corn and pumpkins from Think Crafts! Make fun ornaments out of pipe cleaner and pony beads. The kids will love it and you can add them to your dining room center piece for that homemade touch.
We hope these fun craft ideas make it into your weekend plans and are fun for your family to create together! If you have any fun crafts you would like to share, post them in our Claire’s Day School Parent Facebook Page!
