TEACHER PROFILE – Nora Jasso
We met up with one of our devoted staff members, Young Two’s caretaker Nora Jasso, and asked her a few questions to get to know her better!
Q: First things first, what is your name, the age group you teach, and duration at Claire’s Day School?
A: Nora Jasso, Young twos, two years this month
Q: Describe what your class is learning about this school year.
A: introduction to letters, numbers, animals
Q: What is your favorite thing about working with children?
A: The unconditional love they give, and they are more often than not happy
Q: What is your favorite animal?
A: Golden Retriever Dogs
Q: What project or class subject has been a highlight so far this school year?
A: We cut out pictures of things they wanted for Christmas, and they created their own lists for their parents.
Q: What do you like to do outside of Claire’s Day School? Any hobbies you enjoy?
A: I love to read
Q: Sometimes children can teach us things we don’t realize or know. Have you learned anything from your classes in your experience as a teacher?
A: Kids are quick to forgive and do not hold grudges. We need to practice this as adults!
